Collection 3: Te Rau Tūpuna is currently undergoing the consenting process, and we are taking registrations of interest now. These homes have been thoughtfully created by Designgroup Stapleton Elliott (DGSE) and will be proudly built by TW Construction.

Created for uri of Tamatea Pōkai Whenua, the 21 homes within Te Rau Tūpuna are enabled by impact investment from Hāpai Housing & Heretaunga Tamatea Pou Tahua, together with Whānau Impact Partner, Ka Uruora & Te Uru Ahupūtea: a programme helping whānau to build pathways toward financial independence, healthy kāinga, and long-term housing security.

COLLECTION 3: TE RAU TŪPUNA.
This collection features 21 high-quality homes designed by DGSE and set on Ratima Avenue/Tuivaiti Street:

15 homes are standalone and single-storey (choose between two options: a 3-bedroom/1.5-bathroom/101.8m² layout, or a 3-bedroom + office/1.5-bathroom/internal access garage/125.5m² layout).

Six homes are two-storey triplexes (2-bedroom + office/1.5 bathroom/93.2m2).

All homes have off-street parking, low maintenance landscaping and are fully fenced.

ACCESSING A HOME
You need to be registered with Tamatea Pōkai Whenua and Te Ahu Urupūtea - our free financial literacy workshop via Ka Uruora to be eligible for one of the 70 homes being created for whānau in Te Rito, including these 21 homes in Collection 3: Te Rau Tūpuna (launching in July 2026) and the 15 in our first collection, Te Awhi Rito, available now.
Eligibility criteria does apply for each of the pathways available through Ka Uruora, so check out our Questions and Answers about the homes for a helpful explanation of the work that Ka Uruora does and how they might support you in Te Rau Tūpuna.
